HaritWorld's Guideline - the greener option - is simple yet intensely meaningful. It is the realisation of an idea that was born not very long ago over the need to offer something meaningful to Mumbai's urban residents. It is an initiative to give the increasingly getting-cut-off-from-nature urban resident the option to experience the charm and magic of the surviving countryside and the wilderness not far from the city.

Our Team
 | Our core team comprises Sunjoy Monga and Vinod Haritwal. Sunjoy is a renowned naturalist, photographer and author. He has dedicated over three decades of his life to researching, documenting, photographing, writing and initiating positive and healthy debate and action for the cause of nature and environment.
Vinod is a qualified professional business manager with over two decades of business management experience in industry, investment banking, venture capital, private equity and consulting. A trained Yoga teacher, Vinod has spent years in researching and propogating herbs, Ayurveda, wholistic health and natural living.
We have a panel of experts who join us on various camps. These associates specialise in herpetology, entemology, ornithology, botany, arts, crafts, anthropology and related fields. If you wish to join us as an expert or as a volunteer please write to us through the Jobs & Opportunities section. |

CampHarit Facilities
 | Nestling between a perennial little river and a Reserve forest, Camp Harit is a 20 acre farm in a scenic location.
At present we have limited but all facilities at CampHarit. The board and lodging are minimalistic yet adequate and you will not miss the comforts of life. In fact, we are quite sure you will actually begin to enjoy the experience. You even have the option of sleeping under the skies and stars.
We have dormitory halls that can accommodate upto 40, family rooms that can accommodate upto 12 and tents for 2-4 occupants. There are separate sanitation blocks for men and women. The dining area can accommodate upto 40 people at a time. |
CampHarit Location
 | CampHarit is located on Manor-Nashik Highway, off National Highway 8 (Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway).
Manor is a town located on NH 8. At Manor Telephone Exchange, you turn East (towards Nashik) on the Manor-Nashik Highway. About 18 KM from Manor is Daherje river and on the bank of this river is CampHarit. Vikramgad town is about 1 KM away.
CampHarit is about 75 KM from Dahisar Octroi post of Mumbai and about 100 KM from Bandra.
